Privacy policy

• Account details — your name, email address and phone number, so we can identify you and send order confirmations.
• Order and ticket records — what you bought, for which event and session, at what price, and the tickets issued against it.
• Payment outcome — whether a charge succeeded and a provider reference. Full card numbers never reach our servers; they go directly to the payment provider.
• Check-in records — when a ticket was scanned and by which gate, which is what stops a ticket being used twice.
• Technical logs — request and error logs kept for security and debugging.

To sell you a ticket and let you into the event: to take payment, issue the ticket, prove it at the gate, handle refunds, and answer support requests. We also use aggregate sales figures to run the platform and report to organizers.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising profiling on this site.

• The organizer of an event you bought from — they see the attendee and order information for their own event, and nothing about your activity elsewhere on the platform.
• Payment providers — Telebirr, Chapa and card processors, to take the payment and to make a refund.
• Infrastructure providers — hosting and email delivery, acting on our instructions only.
• Authorities — where the law of Ethiopia requires it.

Order, payment and ticket records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Account details are kept while your account is open. Technical logs are kept for a short operating window and then discarded.

You can view and correct your details in your profile, and see your full purchase history in Order history. To ask for a copy of your data or for your account to be closed, write to support@e-ticketoffice.com.

Closing an account does not erase the order and ticket records we are required to retain, but they stop being linked to an active profile.

Passwords are stored hashed, never in readable form. Sessions use HTTP-only cookies, so no script on the page can read your session. Ticket QR codes are signed, which is how the gate detects a forged or altered ticket. Staff access is scoped by role — gate staff can validate tickets but cannot see sales or finance.
